Grading
 
  Numerical grades are earned during the marking period and may be converted to letter grades in accordance with the following chart:

A+ 100 to 96 B+ 89 to 86 C+ 79 to 76 D+ 69 to 68 F 64 to 00
A 95 B 85 C 75 D 67 to 66 I Incomplete
A- 94 to 90 B- 84 to 80 C- 74 to 70 D- 65 WP Withdraw Passing

  A numeric average of 65 is required to pass. A grade of "E" is earned by a student who refuses to participate in classroom activities that are an   integral part of a course. Students with an average below the required passing grade will have till the next issued progress report to bring their grade   up to a passing grade to continue remaining at Essex Academy for the Gifted.
